Kaiser has lost its way — and we’re fighting to get it back on track.
More and more these days Kaiser executives are running Kaiser like a big corporation that puts profits first and abandons the values, community relationships, and connection to patients and healthcare workers that have made it such a success.

Our bargaining priorities are all about restoring Kaiser as the healthcare provider that communities enthusiastically call their own, patients know provides the best care, and that we can all be proud to work for:
Strong Partnership: A true partnership with Kaiser, centered on working together to achieve high-quality, affordable care for patients and good jobs for workers.
Compassionate Care: Principles that balance automation and innovation with the staffing levels and human interactions necessary to deliver compassionate care.
Workforce of the Future: Mutual investment in building the healthcare workforce of the future by providing Kaiser workers opportunities to upgrade our skills and jobs — and offering our families and community members a pathway to good jobs at Kaiser. This includes an end to Kaiser’s outsourcing, which badly compromises care in pursuit of more corporate profits.
Good Jobs: Kaiser’s massive success is built on the work WE do every day, and we should share in that success. We insist on a contract with strong raises and no cuts to any of our healthcare and retirement benefits.
Without YOU we can’t win any of this!
Our power at the bargaining table comes from SEIU Local 49 members in Kaiser facilities all across Oregon and SW Washington. We must show Kaiser executives that we all support our bargaining team and are ready to take action — including going on strike if necessary — to win on our priorities.
