After two weeks of strike votes across Kaiser Permanente facilities in the Northwest, Kaiser SEIU Local 49 members voted overwhelmingly to authorize our bargaining team to call for a strike.
SEIU Local 49 members have been taking action for over a year during an escalating fight to stop Kaiser’s unfair labor practices, and win a new union contract that protects jobs, wages, and benefits.
With this vote, we’ve shown Kaiser management that we’re willing to do what it takes to protect our patients, our families, and our futures.
